540 Delancey — South End Warehouse
Working in a groundbreaking project, the process of creating a uniquely urban and inviting loft development in a rough and tumble location was the challenge when first envisioned in undeveloped South Beach circa 1994. Working with a pioneering developer, McGuire brought its unique vision and residential cache to a decrepit 1892 Warehouse on the edge of the crumbling Embarcadero freeway.
Three years later the development team brought to life one of South Beach's first brick and timber warehouse lofts with remarkable success and quick sell-out within just one month's time. Few would realize then that 540 Delancey and 650 Delancey (AKA Oriental Warehouse) would set the stage for a series of new developments around the block in the decade to come.
